Almost a week since holidays began, and what have I been upto?
Well, what I should've done was to do my homework and then study for the upcoming tests, but over-confidence prevailed over saner senses and I've been enjoying my holidays till now.
Got some projects I've had on my mind for a while now done.
This is a quite backdated, has been sitting in my drafts for don't know how long, so I thought I'd get it out. I had a date in a really long time today. Its nice to get out there and remind yourself every once in a while that you still have the ability to revive a dead conversation and keep it going. We've all done it at some point, perhaps you had vested interests, perhaps you just wanted to be polite, or perhaps you just wanted to direct it to something else you wanted to talk about. In the short version, I listened to this person talk about things I had no remote interest in, forcing my mind not to wander away and my eyes not to wander downwards. In the end, I tried something new, for fun. I searched for simple sentence structures, turned them into questions ending in 'huh' with little effort, added a grin at the end and simply put it out there. Scarily enough, it worked. I turned out looking like Charlie Chaplin on steroids (now don't pan me, I thought I was dreadful). Tore a hole in my wallet paying for dinner even though all I had was a coffee and some napkins, took her home and got the hell out of there. Life's tough for us single guys, huh?
